In Torrevieja, we mainly work on flats in the old town built between the seventies and the nineties: long kitchens of four or five square metres, with a utility balcony at the back and tiling up to the ceiling. The usual refit makes use of that balcony, takes the wall units all the way up and swaps doors for drawers to gain the storage the floor plan does not give.
Two walls at an angle, a short distance between the fridge, sink, and stove, and free space for a table. This is the layout we request the most because it fits into almost any square meter without forcing you to give up anything.

The weak point of an L is the corner. Without the right solution, you end up with a deep cabinet where everything goes in but nothing comes out, and you end up not using it.
This is solved with extra shelves, a carousel, or a corner drawer. It costs a bit more than a regular cabinet, but it’s worth it: you recover half a cubic meter of storage that you were going to lose.
For whom it is intendedIt
Works especially well if you want to place a table inside the kitchen, because the L leaves the entire remaining wall free. It is the usual option in apartments of 90 to 120 m² and in square kitchens.
