Island Kitchens in Rojales

We have been fitting island kitchens in Rojales for years, so we know the homes in the area. You get a fixed price before we start and the delivery date in writing.

In Rojales, we mainly work on houses in the old town, next to the river: narrow and elongated spaces where the kitchen is linear and there is no way to fit in an island. There, the work is measured in centimeters: cabinets up to the ceiling, drawers instead of doors, and a continuous countertop without cuts. In the surrounding urbanizations, the layout is less constrained, and it is possible to open up to the living room.

An island needs space and requires installations. Before selling you one, we tell you if your kitchen has the necessary space, and what is needed to bring water, drainage, or extraction to the center of the room.

When does an island fit and when does it not?

The practical rule: at least 90 cm of free space is needed on each side of the island to allow passage with the oven open, and 120 cm if two people are going to cross each other while cooking. Below that, the island becomes an obstacle.

In practice, this means a kitchen at least 3.5 meters wide. If your kitchen measures less, we will tell you and suggest a peninsula, which gives almost the same result while occupying half the space.

What nobody tells you: the installations

Putting the sink or the cooktop on the island is not just moving a piece of furniture. The water and drainage have to run underneath the floor, which means lifting it or raising the island on a platform. The extraction is the same: it either goes to the ceiling or runs through the floor with recirculation.

All of this is decided before starting and is included in the budget. It is not an extra that appears halfway through the work.
